How to announce to the caller his queue position and his estimated holdtime

The first parameter you need to enable is:

Announce freq.

How often to announce queue position and/or estimated holdtime to caller (0=off)

Set a congruent value to the queue average hold time (e.g. if aht is 5 minutes, you can set 30 or 45 secs, if the aht is 15 minutes you can set 2 or 3 minutes).

Anyway, we recommend you to don't announce the queue position too often.

Announce HoldTime

Either yes, no, or only once. Hold time will be announced as the estimated time after the queue position announce.

Please note that Asterisk needs to handle around 10 calls to be able to elaborate the estimated hold time for the queue, so before that the estimated holdtime announcement will not be played.

Announce Round [s]

It's the rounding time for the seconds. If this is non-zero, then we announce the seconds as well as the minutes ; rounded to this value.

Valid values are 0, 5, 10, 15, 20, and 30.

The default value is 5. You can leave this value and check how it works.
